What do the graphs represent?
The various graphs show the number of times in which the given keyword shows up within news articles on various news websites over a period of time.

How are the hype terms sorted?
The terms and graphs on the main page of the site are ordered based upon today's volume, or count, of the key terms across all of the selected websites.  Further, if two terms have the same volume, then those terms are sorted by volume of change with those going up listed first.

Can I search for my own term(s)?
Currently, the ability to generate graphs for your own search term is not available.  We're working on Phase 2 of HypeTracker.com that will incorporate custom searches and much much more!

How often are the graphs and statistics updated?
The statistics and graphs are currently updated every two hours to keep current with the latest news throughout the day. In addition, once a day, historical records are searched for news items from the past that aren't currently indexed.
